Season Thoughts and Overview by yours truly
We came into the 2009-2010 season with the odds against us, and we left coming 2nd in the PLAYOFFS. The Ephesus basketball teams haven’t run properly in years. This season was a major improvement, but we still had a lot of issues such as: Practices, Funds, Coach presence, and Consistent Teamwork. It was a pleasure trying to manage this team, I tried my best to inform everyone about events, and did my best to ensure that everyone was happy. I have learned a lot throughout this season, and I will promise you that I will put into practice what I have learned. I feel that I have contributed to this team off the court. I know I’m not the best player under pressure, but I know that over time and a lot of practice in the gym I will play at a higher caliber. I will not quit on my Team, and I hope you won’t quit either!
Sincerely,
Anton Kirindongo

Orie Bullard Shares His Gratitude
Hello Palm Beach Heat Family,
I am sure everyone is probably still recovering from the long night on Saturday. I would like to personally thank everyone for their contributions this weekend. It really makes me feel good to see that throughout everything going on in the world around us and in our very own church that we still have a loyal group of adults that believe in investing in our young people and supporting them. They might not say it, but they really appreciate it.
We had a sell out crowd as expected, thanks to all the team members and supporters that were able to spread the word and invite people out. Our food crew was a tremendous success. For the first time we actually sold out of everything. I’m still waiting on my fish sandwich :)
This provides us with a sample of what we can do when everyone works together. This money will help the team in paying for the gym, officials, travelling to games and also give us a base as we begin to prepare for our trip to Atlanta this summer.
We look forward to seeing everyone out at our next game on March 6 as we travel to Ft. Pierce for AYS and the basketball game immediately following. We will be taking the school bus in order to get as many supporters as possible.
Once again, thank you to everyone that helped us out this weekend, we would not be able to do it without YOU. GO HEAT!!!Orie M. Bullard Sr.
We must play together!
"The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don’t play together, the club won’t be worth a dime"
